Hello, I am new to these forums. It looks like this is the place to come for all your information needs when it comes to FORD Trucks, so here it goes. I have a 1997 F 350 Crew Cab 4X4 and I am looking to put a Ram Air Hood on it. I saw a company in Street Truck magizine that makes one for a 1996 F 150 Lighting(which is the same body style). But that was about 4 months ago and I have not seen a ad for them since. I was wondering if anyone out there knows the name of this company and has seen this hood. Thank for all your help.
I just had to look this up for you since I know how sweet this is going to look for an F350 4X4. The company is Cervini's Auto Designs and their phone number is 1-800-488-6057. The hood you were inquiring about is $439. They also show a cowl hood for the same truck for the same price. The part number for the Ram Air Hood is #112 and the Ram Air Kit (speed density) for the hood is #425 for $175 extra. Hope this helps you out and good luck on a cool mod for a cool truck.

Another reproduction fiberglass hood for the '92-'96('97 HDs) I saw recently was while at a 4x4 show in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. It might have been offered by Cirvini's. It's a '92-'96 fiberglass hood with a fiberglass 1969-1970 style Cobra Jet scoop in it. Looks 'factory'. I'm thinking about putting one on my 1994 F-250 HD regular cab. I think it was about $400. I figure it would be worth it to get some cool air into my pickup's supercharged EFI460.
i might be wrong, but that second hood is probably from usbody.com. its called theyre GT500. Its closed up from the factory, but shouldnt be too hard to make an airbox for the scoop.
Thanks. It probably would be easy to make it functional. That was the first time I saw one of those hoods for the '92-'96('97 HD) trucks. I think u.s. body source also offers hoods for '87-'91 Fords. I ended up going with a set of Lund scoops on my '90 Bronco's stock hood. I know aftermarket fiberglass hoods aren't cheap. When I had my 1967 Fairlane XL, way back in 1989, I bought a Crites 427 '66-'67 Fairlane hood, with the scoop. That was a really nice piece, but even back then with the cost of the hood itself, truck freight cost, and painting cost, it was like $400. Looked cool, however, and everybody thought it had a 427 FE big block in it. I wished it did, or a 390....
OUT STANDING! Stephen thanks for the info you nailed it right from the start. Justin your green machine rocks boss. The hood looks great and that is the look I want. I think it will make my truck stand out even more in the SAND DUNES of GLAMIS. But I have question for you. I understand that these hoods are fiberglass, were you able to use your stock hinges and latches. And do you experience any buckling of flexing in the hood as you are driving down the highway. Also I would like to use the under the hood kit on my 460, but the website says it only works on Lightning. I emailed the tech guy at Cervini's when I first saw this hood about 4 months ago, but he never got back to. My air box is located in the same place as the Lighting. I do however have a K&N Mass Air unit in there. It appears that it will dump all the air right into my Mass Air unit. Also I found a sweet set of clear tail light to go with your clear corner markers. The clear corners are going to be my next item if I can find them. Not very many companies have them anymore. Any info you may have on where I might find them would be greatly appreciated also. I will have to upload some pictures of my ride. Thanks again for everyone’s help.
Wow you can only edit your post for 60 minutes after you post. YIKES . Anyway, I realized after I wrote the above post that I was talking about the turn signal markers not the corner markers. The corner marker are already clear. DUH! So I'm sorry for the foul up. Oh yeah, I know I said I had one question, but once I got to typing I just could not stop. Thanks again for any info you can provide.
