It's so you don't have to remove the chip to reprogram it every time you want to change tunes

Yup. Tuck it away and pull it out to connect to your laptop

It should have been included with the hydra. There is a ribbon type cord that is short but workable for mounting the switching box. The other is a USB type cable that you leave under your dash to use when you erase or add tunes from your laptop. Lots of help here: Hydra Help

I know my Hydra doesn't fit in/on my TDE1 PCM with the USB cable. I think I need to pull my PCM and separate the halves or grind the housing.

Before pulling the PCM, I am going to try trimming the right angle mini USB jack and see if it fits this way. I may get to it tomorrow or Friday.

I did read that the cover may not fit on some and to zip tie it. I am with you rusty on trimming for a proper fit.

I am very excited to be able to have multiple tuners on one chip. I plan on power-struk for live tunes as I purchased it from them and live tuning is included. And may try some tw and smoke free gear head down the line.
Now to make the truck run once again lol

I haven't actually installed mine yet and haven't heard about the 'trimming'. I'll keep that in mind, thanks Rusty.
