Electric fuel pumps conversion
He everyone!!!! Gotta a question hope someone will be able to help me out with.
I am curently awaiting the arival of the new heart for my 77 F150 Ranger. With the pulley system i'll be using I'm going to need to convert this truck to an electric fuel pump. Problem> I have duel tanks. One behind the seat and the other at the rear of the 8ft bed. Now I know a elec fuel pump should be mounted as close to the tank as possible. the electric switcing valve is directly under the drivers seat. I know the gravity feed from the cab tank will be fine but this puts me a good bit away from the rear tank if I mount the pump on the engine side of the switching valve. Does anyone have any idea if I will be asking for trouble doing that or do I need to be looking at a duel pump set up? One at each tank... then I have to figure out a way to switch the pumps on or off with their respective fuel tanks.... Any Ideas or thoughts????
