Crunchy feeling rear end.
I've noticed that when backing into my driveway, It feels a bit crunchy.
Is that just the posi styel rear end, or is it indicative of bad things to come my way?

I'd service the rear and make sure it has the right type/amount of friction modifier in it if its a posi.

I took it to Ford, for a diagnosis, I have 3 month/30,000 mile warranty, so I better take advantage, while I can.

Well, they don't cover any of it, under my warranty.
U-joints, inner tie rods, ball joints and front wheel bearing pack, alignment, $2002.
I guess I'll see if my friend will fix it for me.

No sure of the size...but which ones did they say were bad? Most likely the rear driveshaft u-joints.
What I would do is repair as you get the funds. U-joints are a priority.
Repacking front wheels bears doesn't cost except for grease and seals if they are bad.

Spicer or Moog are fine. Do the rear first. Best to check the front, they may not need them.
In fact I would get your friends that have the experience you indicated to have a look at them with you to determine which ones actually need replaced.
