Thanks for taking time to read this as I am at a loss of what to do. I have a 2010 f350 duly supercab with a Weekender by skyline camper. The problem I have is the 5 cab running lights are hitting the cabover sleeper of the camper. I can put in a 4 inch subfloor to raise the camper but would like to avoid this as the camper is already really high. (it has a rather tall cabover sleeper). Any suggestions would be really helpful. Thank you
Instead of raising the camper you could recess a channel into the spot where the lights touch. Something like an inverted gutter with the sides cut down to the height that you need.
I would think that a 2X floor would be high enough, instead of 4 inch. I know that there are stablelizers made that attach onto the overhang. Most look like chrome struts. We had to use them on Bigfoot truck campers- because they were so heavy- Check out campingworld or online.(former RV tech)
