My dad's old 79 f350 4x4 had those angle opening steps. they are very cool!! super easy to get up in the truck as a kid. he also had a handle screwed onto the door as the factory door handles were kinda beat up by the mines guys (was a truck used in the coal mines)

Make some of these, either bend it up yourself or get some race car d/s safety loops and cut/shorten and weld away.
Local welding shop should be able to make some quick and cheap, if you do not have a welder.
