I have a 95 f150 302 automatic 4x4 with 215k on it. The motor and trans is original. Im having a problem with low power at all times and at about 20 mph it bogs down a whole lot and even with my foot in the floor it wont accelerate any quicker. at highway speeds it has no power even if i put my foot to the floor. i just did a tune up on it about 4 months ago (10k miles). also just changed the trans filter last october. any suggestions?

 

Have you done a compression test?
How'd it run before tune up?

 

Possible causes include a melted cat which will restrict exhaust gas flow, low fuel pressure, or a major EFI sensor problem.. pull the codes.

 

It did the same thing before the tune up and has only gotten worse. The compression test was one of the things I did and it came back fine.

 

clogged cat, fuel pressure. considering how easy it is to check fuel pressure, start there. I think you have a clogged cat.
