I got mine made at my local auto electric shop, the same guy that rebuilt my Genny and starter. That is what I would recommend rather than LMC.

I concur with abe. Any good local battery store can make you a set of quality, proper cables for your truck. They will use welding cable, a much better product than you will generally find at auto parts stores. The differences is in the size and number of strands per cable.

Jolly Roger Joe, if I change back to positive ground, and repolarize the generator, do I need to do anything to the coil wiring? And if I do all of that and now 6v positive, what side of the ammeter should the wire come through, should it come through the driver side and exit the passenger side? I can't find any information on any of this in the shop manual. Maybe I am not looking in the right place!

The shop manual shows the detail. From the ammeter, the wire enters the loop from the driver's side. My guess is your wiring never was changed.
