hood insulation
so I have hood insulation pad on my 03. It has a hole and has become a home for mice, I have read that it can just be removed. So I did that when I cleaned it all up. Now there is a lot of steam coming off of the hood when it rains.
Will this damage the paint, and does it need to be replaced? or is everyone without it doing ok?
this is an 04 3-50 with a 6.0L

My 05 never had one. Yes it elk steam the rain right off. I haven't had any paint issues yet. I wild like to add one myself as in the winter i lose allot of heat thru the hood. The block heater will melt the snow off in the center of the hood. That heat is like to keep in as much as possible.

my 06 didn't come with the hood insulation either, i have one on order from here ( QuietRide Solutions )
i think they look better than the oem ones and will hold up better too
