Limited-slip differential check
I have a 250 and a 350 with limited-slip.
[1]: How does one determine the condition of the clutches; and, [2]: what is involved in changing them if worn or shot?

Limited-slip differential check
Jack up one rear wheel, put the tranny in neutral. Use your torque wrench to try to turn the raised wheel. If it takes more than 20 ft-lbs before the wheel breaks loose, the clutches don't need replaced yet.
Replacing the clutch packs can be done with the carrier in place. It's not a real difficult or complicated job.

The 350 van is a Pathfinder 4 x 4 conversion. Could I use the same procedure to determine if the front has limited-slip?
