I don't know if you blocked off around the edges of your condenser for a good air flow pull through it. Best with some ac foam or other rubber shielding that can be used.
And if you mounted the condenser close within 3/8" to the radiator for good pull of air.
That will all help with your systems max cooling in city stop & go driving.

The condenser is mounted about 1/2" away from the radiator. I'll look into some foam and spacing the fan a little further onto the shroud. I do have a spacer that I took off my mustang when I pulled the pulley to put on the truck now that you mention. thanks for the advice!

I've seen some fan snout spacers about 2" in length that move your fan forward into a much better area to get max air pull.
Happy motoring throughout the hot Coachella Valley

How many blades on your fan? Mine has 7 and no clutch, so it moves tons of air.

I'm not sure how many blades but its a clutch. And as orich pointed out I need a fan spacer to get it into the shroud better. I'm gonna do that tomorrow.

I don't remember if, I'd said this before but not all fan clutches are the same.
As theirs one just for having AC an one for non ac.

The non ac one have more of the free spin at idling and is thermally control and engage as radiator heat goes up. .

Where as the AC clutch is more like always engaged having for better cooling,
at idling or for the slower city driving..
