OK I give up...

How come these trucks are called bumbside and dentside? I am an old guy and these terms are new to me....thanks....chris

67-72s are called Bumpsides due to the convex "spear" running along the body side. Spear Sides? Arrow Sides? .. naah. Bumpsides.

73-79s are called Dentsides due to the concave contour down the body side. "Concave Sides" just doesn't have the same ring ya know?

Don't feel bad, it took awhile before I caught on too, I never heard these old trucks called by those terms before joining the forum either!

It's a lot easier to say " Bumpside" than to say, "1967 through 1972" when referencing these trucks, during those model years.

If you know what the slang term means, then you know someone is referencing a '67-'72 when they mention the term "Bumpside."
