New Sneakers

Put on a set of Nitto Terra Grappler G2's. So much nicer then the good years the truck came with. Very quiet ride and they look good too.

I stayed with the stock 275/65/18 , I went for a drive after having them put on and can honestly say there is no road noise. Will have to wait and see how long that it will last as they wear.

Me too

Now get ready for everyone to tell you you will pay for it with gas mileage
BFG KO2s for me with old school white letters. Why is it we can't get decent tires on a OEM 1/2 ton

You answered your own question. If the heavier "better" tires suck 1-2 MPG, ford can't afford to have that hit on it's CAFE numbers. It's really that simple.

Not sure on the mileage, I know my snow tires cost me 1 mpg at least but I think that might also be the cold weather?
I received my new programmer today so there goes the fuel savings!
Actually I think the mileage is better with the tune.

So, what tuning are you going to do? What tuner are you using?

I'm anxious to see how that works for you. You will run a baseline on MPG first?

Yes, I have not re set the trip in 2800 miles and it was showing 16.8 mpg for my average.
I reset the second trip when I loaded the tune. The only thing is that I'm probably going to leave the 91 performance tune for daily driving.

Nitto tires are really a great product. I had Nitto Crossteks on my last truck, I think i'm going to wait to put a few more miles on these GY SRAs before I swap. I out over 60000 miles on the Crossteks and they still looked new. Great ride from them too. How do the Terra Grapplers do on the highway above 70...smooth ride still?

They are smooth at 90 mph, just got off the highway.
