Please Help

I have an '03 F350 6.0 that occasionally wouldn't start until it had cooled off for about 30 minutes. A friend of mine recommended adding a little marvel mystery oil to the oil system, I did research this and found no negative posts, but now it has been 2 hours and it still won't start. Any suggestions? Could i have added too much and thinned the oil out too much?

Quite possibly, Marvel Mystrey oil is useuall used to loosen some thing stuck or overly thick. Not shure what it will do to 6.0 injectors. Never tried that on a 6.0

MMO is 3/4 mineral oil and 1/4 mineral spirits, aka paint thinner. It's not going to do a thing for you at all.

No hot-restart begs for diagnosing an HPO leak. You need to post ICP, ICPV, IPR% while KOEO, cranking, and hot idle. On an '03 you also need to show IPR% while running on the highway, since that's the worst year for HPOPs.

I'm draining and changing it now, it did start but not easily. I'll chalk it up as a bad learning experience. Thanks for not calling me a dumb a$$, lol.

P.S. HPOP was replaced 15,000 miles ago, all 8 injectors, FICM, IPR, ICP and pigtail were replaced 3500 miles ago.

Do you know if the feed or j tube which ever you call it got changed when the hpop got replaced? They have an o ring and fitting that can leak after time. It's the tube that goes from the hpop to the branch tubes.

Yes, the tube was replaced the day after the HPOP.

OK, I changed the oil last night, drove the truck home, about a 25 minute drive, and the truck again would not restart. I called my semi-local powerstroke repair facility and I was told it was either a failed/failing o-ring on top of an injector or my HPOP was going out again. I have read quite a few posts on here about no start when hot issues concerning a failing HPOP and probably 99% say their truck will just shut down after 30-45 minutes... and that is exactly what mine did when I had to replace the HPOP, but this time as long as I don't shut it off it will run pretty much forever, I drove it Monday morning an hour trip, left it idling for 30 minutes while loading out and an hour back, it was actually running for 4 hours with no problems, but, once I shut it off it took about 45 minutes for it to restart???

Unplug the icp and see if it will start. Without some kind of a monitor you are just going to throw parts and money at it blindfolded.
