Front End Upgrades on 2011 F-250: Grille, Bumpers & LED Lights

We wanted to improve the appearance and functionality of our 2011 F-250's front end.

So we first decided to go with a stout aftermarket bumper from Fusion Bumpers. It's worth noting that Fusion Bumpers are 100% made in the USA, shipped from their Idaho facility. Each bumper is made to order as auxiliary lighting configurations, recovery points and winch mounts; plus other features can be added when optioning a bumper online.

With the bumpers in raw form, it’s easy to see the attention to detail and the impeccable quality. Internally gusseted for strength with winch mount, shackle mounts and auxiliary lighting, these bumpers are a work of art and built to take a beating.

There was room for four lights on our new bumper. We installed ARB Intensity LED Lights – a pair of spot beams in the center, and floods for the outers (2600 lumens).

The AR-21 Intensity LED uses a seven-inch housing with rear cooling fins and 21 individual LEDs that put out a combined 6950 raw lumens per light in a clean, crisp pattern.

While the bumper upgrade gave our truck the functionality we wanted, our next mod was to add a bit of style to its rather plain-looking front end with a grille upgrade. The aftermarket is flooded with grille options for the Super Duty, from basic billet and mesh to lightbar integrated. We sought out a clean black mesh grille from T-Rex Grilles in place of the chipped and flaking OE unit.

To begin the install of the X-Metal series mesh grille, the factory grille assembly needed to be removed and stripped down.

The fit on this X-Metal grille is perfect and install took a matter of and about two hours even with needing to repair the factory grille. The standard X-Metal grille uses a large “X” in the center, but we opted for a cleaner “T-Rex” badge for run in the lower corner.

T-Rex has offered grille and accessory options for nearly 20 years, and they give you the ability to truly customize your vehicle.

This new grille finishes off the look we were after for this Super Duty when combined with our other accessories.

What do you guys think?

I just bought this the other day and it will control up to 5 sets of lights, installed it in the middle console. It also has two USB charging port on it for your phones. $45 I had to give it a try.
