How do i know if my ficm is bad?

Do you have an OBD reader like Scanguage II or something similar. Ther is also a way in the Tech folders how to read the voltage with a meter.

Ok would this be another problem or caused by the same ill be going down the road an it will act like im topping out at the high speed an when i let off the gas it will shut off

Not really enough info. When were the fuel filters last changed and are they and the caps OEM?
