I have a '99 F-250 SD Lariat V-10 and wonder if I can install upfitter switches in the blank plate, that usually has the 4x4 switch in it?

Is there already wiring that I can plug into?

 

They didn't have up fitters i till 2005, we have a 06 F550 at work and the up fittings are in the wallet slot under where the 4wd switch would be. I'm gonna buy the plate for the 06 and install it into my 2004 F350 since the wallet slots are identical. I'll have to do all the wiring custom also

You are going to install your own switches in the same plate that I was asking about?

Do you have a part number for the '06 plate?

 

05 up trucks have a plate with switches that go into the dash spot where you put your wallet etc. at the moment I do not have the part number but I'll get a pic of the F550 at work today and I'll get the vin and call my dealer and see what the price and part # are
