King Ranch Leather Care???

Hey guys...Newby here and wasn't sure where else to post this.
So if there is a better place please let me know.

I have a 2012 F-250 King Ranch and I've been using the King ranch leather conditioner off their web site and I love the smell but it doesn't work well at all in my opinion. I use a whole bottle between the front seats, console, and rear seats and it looks good for a few days then it gets a very dry look. Some spots worse than before I conditioned it. I've read a lot about KR leather but mainly pre 2008 when the leather has a different material.

Can someone tell me the best conditioner to use on this leather? Is it the same type leather as the Latiats? Will any good high dollar conditioner work well?
For the longest time I thought I could only use the KR conditioner.

Help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have been using Leather Cleaner/conditioner from the auto parts store.....Individual wipes in a round container. Seems to do well.

Do we really need this stuff?

I have a 2004 Lariat I bought new. I have never put any kind of leather treatment on it and it still looks and feels great.

I second Lexol. Use it on all the horse leather, including some very expensive saddles.

With my 05 lariet and now my 15 Platinum, I use leather conditioner that I bought at a saddle shop. Apply it, let it soak for 10 minutes and then buff. Works great in my op.

Lexol is good stuff. Fiebing's makes a glycerin "saddle soap" bar that works too.

Thanks for the input guys. I used Lexol today. Sprayed and lighting massaged into leather.
Let sit for about 30 minutes and did anothet application. Waited a few hours and then attempted to whipe clean but it was kinda tough to whipe. Was pretty tacky and may have been due to the 2nd coat. Switched from a microfiber to a terry towel and worked better.
Will see tomorrow and through out the week.
Thanks again. Any other input is always appreciated.

A second application probably wasn't necessary. I've used Lexol on my motorcycle seats and in my truck and never needed more than one application.

I like Bick 4 Leather conditions. Use it on my saddles, boots and truck seats

I thought the leather in the Lariat has a rubber type external coating (aka Pleather) so essentially a leather conditioner is not required nor is effective. I use the Motorcraft leather cleaner kit twice a year to clean the seats and they still look like new but it's not a leather conditioner.

I'm with Troy. I'm positive that the surface of our KR seats is not able to absorb any type of conditioner. What you see when you apply product to the seat is no different than what you see when you use armor all on the dash, it just refreshes the color.

Our awful leather has been a strong point of dissatisfaction for me. Problem is, there's no alternative...

In addition to treating the Ford leather with the rubber coating with these leather conditioning products, you could be harming the surface more than helping.

I don't have the KR, but do buy the leather interiors.. The only time I use anything at all is to get dirt off the leather and then it's just saddle soap..
Seats seem fine to me even 10-15 years down the road...
