I know there are a million threads on this but I have a few questions. First a little back story. Last weekend I deleted my egr cooler and have driven 700 worry free miles this week. I ordered the sct x4 and got the custom tunes in today. After work today I changed my passenger glow plugs and harness and installed the sct and the SRL tune. The degas bottle was clean at this point. I drove to town to get fuel and came back (20 miles tops). I just opened my hood and there is white stuff all on the degas bottle now. I didn't rag on it too hard going to get fuel, I did take off hard a couple times but never WOT. The sct said my max boost hit was 25. Here is my degas bottle right now after I washed it off about 1/2"-3/4" above the line but truck still warm. The little dot below the line about 1/2" is where my coolant was this morning before I cranked my truck. Is it possible I've already blown my head gaskets in 20 miles? Thanks, I just had that knot in my stomach when I popped the hood tonight!
This is my coolant level last night about 3 hours after I turned it off (I had already cleaned it up). The little yellow dot below the line is where it was yesterday morning before I cranked my truck.

I run mine at the bottom of that sticker, I would remove some coolant and if the degas cap hasn't been replaced recently I would replace it.
The coolant looks clean, and no white smoke. I drained out about 1.25 liters and drove about 50 miles. I had a few white spots when I got back. But not near as bad as last time. I have to drive about 200 miles today so I'll keep checking it and see.
Well I made it the next 100 miles without puking but I never reall got over 20lbs boost. It's down to 100 degrees and I have my coolant even with the word min on the tank. I'll pick up a new cap Monday and see how it goes. I'm just surprised it never puked all week long. Would the SRL tune cause more pressure to the coolant system?
Yes on the tune, plus you were over filled. Rapid heat exchange plus no place to expand in the degas bottle = Puke.
Thanks, that makes sense, I just got home (100 miles) and no puke. I did accelerate hard a few times just to see. I will still get a new cap Monday and check the coolant level in the morning after a cold soak.
This SRL tune is nice the only issue I have with it are most of the shifts are very firm with the 5-6 and 6-5 being the worst. Might just end up leaving it on the 8k just to play it a little safer and to keep from having to change back and forth as much.
