This thread just reminded me of this old topic that we no longer seem to experience on new F-series trucks. Michelin must have changed something in the way they manufacturer their tires to stop this cracking from happening or FTE members are no longer looking. I have not really had a look at my 2015 set of tires either.

They claim they have a new compound...on both AT/2's and Defender LTX formally MS/2's.
I didn't have cracking on my AT/2/s I bought back in 2009 and had 36k on them..but the outer rows looked smooth due to the shallow depth of the inbetween spacing. The row wore down fast to that and basically turned the outer rows into a bald effect performance...
