Once you really get up and in there, you'll be able to see it. But like I said earlier, with good lighting and an inspection mirror, you'll be able to see it more easily. The plug I had leaking was reachable without removing anything.

Well cleaned up the HPOP area as best I could, with still a lot of oil "sludge" left around the outlets and non-removable plug, but at least there was no wet oil there. Ran the engine for about 10 minutes and could see no evidence of any leak except maybe a tiny little bit of shiny oil around the non-removable plug. But with the amount of oil I am getting from parking in one spot, maybe a tablespoon or more, I would think I could see more oil if it was leaking there. The only thing totally clean and dry was the rear plug.

I will try looking again this evening when it's darker and maybe it will be easier to see without the sun up. I still can't see any way I could remove any of those plugs without removing a lot of stuff around them to gain access.

So I went back again when the sun was setting so there wouldn't be so much ambient light, and I could see a little better. As is said before there is a lot of sludge up around the HPOP, but I really couldn't see any fresh oil, but back further in the valley, I could see some fresh oil, starting just under the intake assembly for the turbo. Going back further it still wet looking under the turbo, but the turbo itself looked dry. Maybe I just didn't get that area as clean as I could have using engine cleaner and a hose???

But up front again, just under the HPOP, I did find a little plug, 3/8" standard thread, "O" ring (you can just barely see it on the picture at the top of the threads) and 1/8" hex fitting on top. For a second I thought I had an "aha" moment, until I realized that if that a 3/8" plug was missing anywhere in the oil system, lpop or HPOP, it would be a flood, not a tablespoon or so under the truck after driving for a while.

Still, do you all have any ideas where that plug might go? I am assuming someone was working on the truck, dropped the plug and rather than looking for it, got another.
