I would like to convert my 1965 F-100 from drum to power disc brakes.
I live in Loveland, Colorado.
Does anyone know of a shop in my area that would do this changeover?
Thanks,
Magwheel874
Welcome to FTE Magwheel, if you have any bit of mechanical ability, it is a plug and play ordeal, find you a 74-79 donor truck (I think that is correct years) and transfer it all over, I would not pay someone to do it, it's just to easy!
+2 on do it yourself, many of us here have done this ourselves and helped others. I certainly understand your hesitation if you don't have the tools or skills to pull it off. It does take some big tools and a space to work in.
I would suggest that you start on a plan and finding the shop is a good 1st step. I would find a donor truck 73-76 for the FE 352/390 engine 73-79 I-6. The shop will charge you for handling the donor should you not do it yourself.
You might try the Colorado club and see if there are guys there that would help.
