Ultimate Sin???
This is actually just to get you guys all riled up like I am. My husband is commiting the ultimate sin and in building his new off-road truck, he's ruining a Ford by putting a CHEVY engine in it! Isn't that terrible??

i wanted to do that too, i like chevy powerplants better, but love the overall ford pickup. i wanted a good cheap and powerfull 350, those things run forever and are so cheap to build up. it would be the best of both worlds. some of you guys need to get this ford and chevy rivalry a rest, a truck is a truck. both companys have made good and bad ones. i own both and love both my chevy suburban, its tried and true and has been the most realiable truck i have owned. my ford is built much better for off road, but not as reliable, if i could find a way to blend it all into one truck, it would be great. ford is not the best, neither is chevy, or any car company. each has there good one and bad ones.

If thats a sin? What Would I call my Chevy luv? It's had it's Motor Transplanted with a Ford $bagger from a stang, T/case and Front end from a jeep and Rear from a nisson. But that lil Ford 4Bagger sure Slings the 38.5 Hawgs Like Slicks, Nice light and fun..The Ford Blood shows..lol

Yes, its a sin. Yes, I have run the chiv 350 engine and can say with honest experience rather than prejudice they suck compared to Fords 351 w or c. The only good point about chiv engines is that you can build them up cheap. If their engines being cheap pieces of garbage can be considered a good point. I HATE to see chevy motors put into Ford vehicles. I can't believe anybody in these forums would even be supporting that notion. Guess that one of the things that makes me a "Ford Enthusiast". Mission accomplished Rose, but now we're going to have to kill him

don't get me wrong i love my truck, but if you guys honestly think that ford is the best and no chevy is good enough, you guys need to wake up. the 350 is a great powerplant, and i would definatly put one in my truck if i could, at least i would be able to get a new oil pan for the thing, unlike my 400 which no one makes one anymore and now i have to look through junk yards to find one.

hey look at that thats a nice chevy ohh no wonder its sitting on the side of the road with the hood up and smoke coming out. .......... i now understand why sometimes i see a ford broke down some fool has put a chevy part on it

i can see why it got shut down, you guys don't even look at anything else. you guys think ford is the best around, and nothing even comes close. well i think you guys are wrong. i love my ford, i love my chevy, i love my honda. each has there downfalls. but in the end they are all peices of metal built in the same manner. you just have to look at the facts, not what emblem is on the front. i didn't mean to start anything with this, just my opinion, you guys have yours, i have mine. not worth fighting about, bigger things in life than this.
