New here, need help sorting Hoss
I mean to make him a driver/usable. Not a trailer/show queen...but a nice truck.
Would anyone have a preferred parts list of all the u-joints under my pickup...or at least a document that will assist me for replacing every one of them? Part numbers of Spicer or other heavy duty ones? I kinda only want to do this once.
Also, does anyone know of a source for a front driveshaft? OEM replacement or how to get one built
Or...has anyone gone and swapped out the divorced driveline? What are you putting under there?
Can someone guide me to the pubs or links that would best help me? Thank you, Walt

What do you mean by "divorced driveline"? A two-piece driveshaft? Going to a single driveshaft will usually require a bigger diameter driveshaft because of the whipping action that could result because of higher RPM. A bigger diameter would increase its rigidity and be less prone to vibrational harmonics and potential wear, tear, and other breakage.

You should be able to get all those parts at your favorite parts house, or NAPA. I swapped the drive shaft to a single in my 66 F100 with no issues so far. Don't know why it wouldn't work in your 250 if you want to go in that direction.

Note. "Let your fingers do their walkin' through your local Yellow Pages" (or on-line) for a local driveshaft company. They can change the joints and the length of your shafts as necessary.
