I think I'm leaning that direction again Tom. The Peragon just seems to delicate with it's hardware etc. I just have to call Truxedo and find out the size of the roll to make sure it won't block my CHMSL.

I wonder what it does exactly. It seems redundant to me that there are two different settings for braking force. I remember wondering about it when I set the trailer up on the truck to begin with, but then forgot to research it further.

Well, I think I found the perfect cover. It's just like Steve's Truxedo Titanium but with a few tweaks. It locks all along the sides instead of using velcro. The tailgate can be closed with the tonneau already locked down so that kills that bug I had. And, it's rails sit almost flat with the truck's bedrails so I don't have to worry about loosing 5th wheel to bed rail clearance. Winner.

That one looks awesome! I love the ultra-low profile, which is one reason I went with the lo-pro. I need all that 5th wheel to bed rail clearance as well.

Just ordered it Tom. I chatted with a rep who helped with the price a bit too. $855 delivered. It's like the best of your cover combined with Steve's. Low profile, doesn't take 3" on either side of the bed, full metal core, no velcro sides. The only downside is how it looks rolled and that it blocks about 9" of your rear view while it's open. However, the only time it's open much is while towing so no effect there.

Looks like a winner, Rodney. I watched the video and it is "almost" identical to the Titanium, with the exceptions you already mentioned. I'll be anxious to see how it works out. It's curious to me that, in all of the research I did before buying mine, I never saw this one.

I only found it buy doing a search of reviews on yours Steve. I found a thread in the 2017 section comparing yours to this one. That was after torturing myself for 12 hours online yesterday and almost ordering both the Titanium and the Peragon about 100 times each.

I don't recall seeing this one either, otherwise it would likely be on my truck right now.

The deal just got better. I found the cover for $827 at another vendor and the BAK reseller I bought from is going to match...

Nice cover Rodney. I have the Pace Edwards Jackrabbit on mine, but I am leaning towards this one for my next truck!

Howdy crew~

Hey Doug, love the Jackrabbit but like the full bed access and ability to remove of the rollup. There is NO perfect cover. I looked...

Got my Fantastic Vent upgrade kit ready to go tonight. It replaces components to turn any lesser Fantastic fan into a 7350 with wireless remote. Install tomorrow on my cheapie 1200 in the bathroom.

There are good reasons for not getting a Jackrabbit - such as needing the space with a short bed. As you know, mine is the long bed, so not as big of a deal. I do like the one you've selected though and will likely go this route when I replace my antique in a couple of years.

I enjoy seeing the mod pics. My mods aren't so much for luxury at this point, but more for being road ready. I swung by the RV dealer today on my way to work to pick up a new set of tail lights - housings, lenses and all, for both sides. If it would ever cool off a bit, I would love to get started on this thing. I need to have several things done by mid-September, and prefer to get started sooner rather than later.

Doug, once you start RVing, do you have someone local to take care of your ranchette? That's a lot of mouths to feed when you guys are out of town....
