Exactly! This seems to be a warranty issue to me, and the $12 it would cost them in parts and shipping to get you the updated part is a drop in their bucket, but COULD lead to a happy customer recommending their products based on customer service, as well as quality of the product. They obviously don't realize how much stuff you sell on this site and others.

Pretty camping spot, BTW. Hope the weather isn't/wasn't too bumpy for you. They are forecasting a tropical storm or hurricane for my neck of the woods this weekend, so I may not get much done on RV upgrades and repairs.

Scott, too bad about the microwave. It's always something, right?

Have a great day all.

I like the low rent district Roy! Honestly, I'd rather have a site with trees and shade than being out in an open field. I really hate most CG's idea of big rig sites. Just bulldoze every tree and make nothing but wide open space. Our site in Maine was so damn nice!

Doug, it truly is always something. Bitch is this thing really isn't that old. But none of this new stuff is meant to last. At least its not a major appliance that brings complete kitchen remodel into question.......................

Scott, fortunately, the overhead microwaves can be had relatively inexpensively and are fairly easy to install yourself. That won't make a huge dent in the tonneau budget, unless the kitchen remodel comes with it.

Weather is supposed to be perfect the rest of the week Doug. We had some rain last night but nothing too scary. Going to do the Cog on Friday. Lots of other kid oriented stuff between now and then. This trip is for the girls...

Speaking of this thread selling, just a note. Amazon currently has the Barker sewer tote for cheaper than it's ever been listed online. They are currently out of stock but at this price I'm considering getting one and let them ship whenever. They normally go about $240+ and are currently $184. I don't dry camp much but at that price it would be worth it to put that guy in storage for the one time we need it.

Those things are pretty neat. I don't see myself needing one anytime soon, but anything is possible in the future. I had only recently seen even a picture of one, and that was on a thread here where someone had it "hitched" to his truck.

Yes, the handle can loop over your hitch so you can drag it to a dump station behind your truck.

But only if you have the Weigh Safe with the 12" drop and 1 7/8" ball, right? May have to lock the rear diff too!

Nice looking site. I see you brought the yard furniture from home

Looks like the devil is in the middle of your plate.

This new section of the CG has all stamped concrete patios with new furniture Steve. Even a glider. Plus a grill if you didn't bring one. Heck, there is even a stone fire pit and potted geranium on our patio! Nice area right at the top of a hill with a bit of a view. I like having my stairs go down to a nice clean patio. Good stuff. Yes, that is quite the plate number isn't it....

Doug, I was going to let Elyse pull it to burn her energy out...

Considering how full of it her daddy is, that will be quite a challenge for her, and should burn up LOTS of her energy!

I'm going to pass on the cart Doug. 350+ lbs is a lot to lug around. Even getting it to the truck hitch from the side of the RV on a tight site would be quite the challenge. Plus, my shower grey is 50 gallons and I'm sure I would overfill and spill when trying to use it. It would be a good deal for those that go to state parks a lot though.

We can go over 2 weeks without dumping our tanks when dry camping but there is just the two of us.

We can go about 2 days on our shower grey Steve. Maybe 3 depending on how hot it is. My shower frequency increases in direct proportion to the outside temp...LOL

I went with a 22-gallon barker for that very reason. When we camp at Mich SP's with just electric for more than a week, I'll drain black followed by gray about every 4 days (that's about 22 gallons based on our usage, no showers in trailer) until we get to about a week left on the campsite, then I let it go. Yea, its more work than it needs to be, but I can do the whole thing in one honey wagon load, and not make several trips all at once.

We only do one trip a year anymore that is longer than a week and NOT on full hookup's. All the other trips on on F/H.
