We'll have to figure something out for next summer, even if your RV less.

That sure would be nice Chad! You guys could always come east and we could put you up with some hook ups...

Rodney,

Putting that new moderator pay check to good use. House looks nice.

In my part of the world, have not seen a new vinyl home in 15 years. HOAs would never allow.

I don't follow the logic Bruce? Not that we have many HOA areas around here but what's the issue? Vinyl is the lowest maintenance, longest lasting and best value product on the market. I wouldn't use another product if you paid me to do so. If no vinyl siding is allowed, what is? Wood or Hardieboard that will constantly need paint and maintenance? Granted, I'm a painter and love the job security but a product that requires maintenance every 7 years doesn't strike the homeowner side of me as "better.". It's the same reason all decks etc. are going PVC with Trex and Azek.

I agree and was not making any judgment. Just a comment on differences in house materials.

Here, 25% stone rest is pre-painted concrete or hardie plank. Trim is mostly pre-painted too.

I don't even want to start on HOAs.

House looks great Rodney.

Steel? I sure liked mine. Yes, more expensive than vinyl, but?

We'll definitely talk more about this when I start planning next summer late this year.

Oh, I realize Bruce and didn't take it as a judgement. I was just fascinated by the HOA rules there and was trying to decipher the logic behind them. The pre-painted stuff is nice but again, it will need to be repainted in the not very distant future. The same actually goes for many colors of vinyl. This is why our house is white. No brand is immune to fading but white always stays white. Our addition to the last house was so faded after a couple of years, I had to paint one side of it with vinyl siding paint to bring it back.

What kind of steel Don? I'm trying to picture a steel sided house but all my mind is coming up with is a building like Andre sells and I'm doubting that's what you mean?

Sounds good. I'm hoping next year will be back to some sort of normalcy....
