So, JD was fun. The 1 seemed like a baby. Nicely appointed and comfy but small. The little 2 (2025R) was a bit nicer fit. Great ground clearance for trail work. But, with the same basic capacities as the 1, it seemed like it would fall short of any big work. We also looked at the 3. It can still have a MMM and turf tires but would also be able to handle a lot more work. It can also come with up to a 46HP motor. So, bottom line is we left with more questions than answers. I think the safer bet is to wait to see if this house sells. If we stay here, we'll likely stay with a X739 or zturn. If we do head to the hills as planned, we may go to something larger than can mow as well as work the land a bit...
Just buy a couple of goats. They're cheaper and are trail ready!
That's a monster leach field! Ours is 16X40... Did you have poor drainage during your perc or is it due to the 5BR house? I bet you're excited about pricing that big boy out....
It perc'd fine I think its due to the 5 bedrooms we actually only asked for 4 bedrooms. Also since we have a 900 sq. in-law apartment there will be 2 kitchens and 2 clothes washing machines.
Happy new year guys.
Michigan trailer plates are permanent, classified by weight empty. Under 1,000 is $75, over 10k is $325ish, with a couple levels in between. Truck is $250ish.

That's a little salty...I know there is worse states though. A few years back I was visiting my friends down there and one of his buddies showed up with 350 dually with a 7,000lb plate on it. Not sure how he got away with that, but I'm pretty sure Indiana changed something since then.

Rain up here again. That's all it does lately. We did get the well flushed and a sample taken. Once we get the results, we can pull our building permit. Plenty of water in the bore to supply the house. Water came up to within 10 of the surface for its static height. So, we have over 600 gallons of storage in the bore. Plenty to live off of and if we find that we want to irrigate, we'll pony up the 2k and get it frac'd. I'm thinking of running a variable speed controller for the pump too. Constant city like pressure.
Realtor will have our house on MLS by the end of this week. Then we are off to the races...
