Well, the reason I ask, my 67 owners manual says "Gasoline or Diesel" on the front cover. Would love to see one. Just curious as to what Ford used back then!

Same with my owner's manual. It is for 1967 F100-F350's and indicates that a diesel was available--possibly a 4 cylinder Dorset diesel. If I recall correctly, it also has a few pages on the diesel for starting tips, etc. I will try to remember to get the manual and scan the information for all members to see. My guess is that they were never sold in Canada or the US, but they were possibly for export only to countries like Brazil.
Thanks Jeff. I went to get the operator's manual out of my 1967 Mercury glovebox last night and ran into a snag. The manual has disappeared except for the front/back cover . I have another one, but it is 200 miles away so it will take a while.
I do recall it listing the 242 Dorset engine and the manual is clearly for the 100-350 series. It always puzzled me that the operator's manual identified the diesel engine. I don't think there was any reference to any other models such as the P/C/N/B series trucks. Unfortunately without the complete operator's manual in my hand I am unable to validate my statements. I will continue to search.....
Bad memory again, but I think I saw a thread several years ago that had a picture of a truck in South America (Brazil??) that had pictures of a bumpside truck with a factory diesel.

That could be RED. My slide shows USA and Canada. But not "export only". Like Brazil,New Zealand,Australia, etc.
