blown rf speaker

I have a 13 F150 xlt.The rf speaker started making scratchy noises. Will the dealer fix this under warranty?(16k miles). Will they replace the speaker with anything better or just put the same junky speaker back in?

They'll replace it with the same junky speaker.
IMO, you're better off replacing them yourself with some better speakers.

crappy speakers?

You'd think that when you part with over 30Gs, Ford would put something decent in.
Bought my '14 on Sat and took it back to the dealer on Monday for the same issue. Arrrrrrgh!
man, i miss my '01 SCrew, 278K on original plugs and never even had a CEL.

17.5+, yeah lost a whole 1mpg since new and at least i could drive it.
Not like the POS i just bought, speaker i can deal with but the OEM trailer brake module flashes the brake lights as i drive down the road aint technology great

hopefully the new one will prove as trouble free after the first glitches.

fwiw I replaced all 4 with the Infiniti Kappa's. Found them on a buy a pair get a pair free from crutchfield. One was DOA but they replaced with no hassel. They are a nice upgrade. Nothing over the top. I would say 10% better than stock. sound is a bit crisper, bass is s teeny tiny bit better. For half off, a worthy mod. for full boat, I would stick with the stock speakers until they blow.

Did not help my gas mileage though
