Heres the photos guess its my new jet pack not working like it should be why I couldn't log in last night.

I will be doing some research today to decode the rest of my data tag as I know some of it but I noticed theres some codes ive never seen before and I currently do not have the 1982 Ford dealership shop manuals for the DSO codes but I can get that when I get around to purchasing the set.

Also as can be seen in the photo you can see the pinstriping is actually dark blue with a light blue middle didn't see that only a dark blue with medium blue center.

Your certification label doesn't specify tape stripes nor springs, both designations started appearing "sometime later" is all I remember. Go look at the label on Gary's uploaded version of the Ford cert label decoding at Certification Label - Gary's Garagemahal

Ah ok thanks for that. I thought maybe I wasn't seeing something as I looked and looked but couldn't find anything on tape codes. That's like I don't even know if they mixed two types of stripes together or not. I mean these are factory tapes as they are not peeling off like aftermarket ones do and they are die cut.

I will also check the link out, I know of Garys site but with my windows 10 upgrade I haven't been able to relocate where all my links are stored at.

There's no TAPE code on the OP's truck, but the springs are two digit codes V & H .. V for the front, H for the rear.

Spring codes appear on the Certification Label beginning from production date 3/81.

All you need to reattach the emblems is double sided trim tape from 3m or Norton

I hate to resurrect a dead post, but in my searching I found this and have some questions. Referring to post #25 up above, where do the Type 17 badges go? And what trim levels were they on? Was it just anything 4WD or certain trim levels?
