Before I buy...

All I need to know is if the 7.3 PSD in 2002 can be pulled out the normal way or is it like the newer trucks that have to have the body taken off the frame?
Professional transmission re-builder so I know my way around vehicles and being a cam head for 20+ years...wow...am i old! Anywho...I was looking at the 8.1L gas 3/4 ton Suburban also. Hard to find one like that loaded and not rusting away. I have a four hour drive to go look at this EX..
If the BODY is nice(I suk at bodywork, good at painting) and I can do the engine pull out the normal underhood way then its a no brainer. I will see this thing tomorrow morning and the guy will hold for me with a handshake so ASAP replies are greatly appreciated. Haven't been a Ford guy for most of my driving life and that was a Mustang...I just need to make sure I am not buying something only a dealer can fix...I don't like ANYONE touching my stuff unless absolutely necessary!!! Thanks in advance.
And if I buy you all will be hearing from me even more!

Yes the engine can come out the old fashioned way, up and out the front.

Appreciate it...this beast is looking really good so far...can't wait until I can see it up close and real! He swears no rust at all(Florida vehicle from 1st owner) and he is a second owner. Sold my Dodge from job losses so at least I can get what i WANT for a change...Suburban type vehicle with a GOOD diesel engine. Surprised GM stopped putting diesels in Suburbans...I'll let you all know how it goes and what I decide...thanks again...I needed a quick reply!

Not a fan of the 500 tiny lights on the front but maybe in the light it looks better?
