C6 Transmission Help
How hard is it and what is required to change a 2 wheel drive transmission to a 4 wheel drive. I have both kinds, and the 4 wheel drive one is starting to go out.
My 2 wheel drive is in good shape.

You need to change the output shaft and the extension housing. Changing the housing is easy, just remove the 4x2 one and bolt the 4x4 one on. The output shaft is a little harder. The transmission needs to be totally torn down. The last piece out of the case is the output shaft. Then install the 4x4 shaft and rebuild the transmission.
