I purchased this the other day thinking it was a good deal, but of course now that I've received it, it was too good to be true. Before I contact the seller I just want to make sure from you guys who know these trucks inside and out I'm not about to make an *** of myself trying to return it lol. Everything is the same except for rear edge. It's too long and not shaped to match the rear fender as well. Perhaps it's for a stake bed or an f2 up? It's listed as an f1 right-hand running board, it seems to me incorrectly.Unless something is unoriginal about my truck, but I don't believe so. Here's the original ad-
As a seller on ebay I feel he shouldn't have to take it back. It says in the listing ford MAYBE and it states to be sure it is what you want before you bid in the description.

Its not correct for your rig
I sell too, and that's a valid opinion. Though he's isn't just some guy selling an old running board he happens to have.He has a store and exclusively sells antique auto parts, so hopefully he would be willing compromise. We'll see.He also heavily insinuated it was NOS ford(though he did throw in the disclaimer), which it clearly isn't and someone like him should've known. Or so I would assume with what he specializes in. I was aware it was somewhat of a risk, but a risk I took knowing ebay and paypal's policies and inclination toward the customer. Policies that have bit me in the *** before for not knowing exactly what I had for sale as well.In my case I believe they just didn't want to pay, didn't even try to send it back.
Any idea what exactly it is for? I may be able to find someone who needs it, it's definitely for a ford. Just that rear portion is wrong for mine.
Well, I dont think you got taken advantage of because it is pictured and acurate.
I would cut the losses, resell it and shoot for the correct ones.
yeah, I'm not restoring anyhow so I could use it even.It wouldn't be a perfect match to the other side if I shortened it though due to the indents running to the edge. I figured the guy wouldn't lose anything money wise with me paying shipping both ways and I'm sure a restocking fee to more than cover his listing fee. At what I paid though, 30$ each way shipping and a restock I'd be dumb to send it back. I kinda just bought it because it was relatively cheap, and would give me a good way to fitup my rusty one and bend it back into shape. After which I could sell it on.
Thanks to bigwin56f100, this is what I needed. Now at least I understand what it's for, I'm new to this, and wasn't even aware the f1 would've came as a flatbed from ford. I assumed this must have been meant for an f2 up(and therefore incorrectly listed, for which I would be wrong) as I found out they were longer while thinking about buying an f2 frame to get the axle I needed for my f1.
EDIT- I see truckdog posted the pic first, my bad lol. thanks to both of you anyhow

Reason: I meant truckdog
So I post the running board up "for sale", and then the truck finds me.
Think my hands are full at the moment as far as 50's trucks lol. I do have 2.5 acres of storage though...
