I don't know. I fill up at the truck lanes so the only marks are at the top of truck lanes.

My free sample came yesterday.
After reading the information sheets it looks like its all "promises" but no real information.
I was hoping to see referrals to independent lab studies or white papers but no such luck.
The "instructions" don't even tell whether to add it to a full tank, or an empty tank before adding fuel.
It seems to me that one would start with a near empty tank, add the additive and then pump in the fuel for best dissolution results.
I'll try it next week or when next needing fuel.
Sign me "skeptical".

I always add the additive (different brand than the ad, Multi-Lube) after I fill up the tank. Otherwise I would have to guess at the amount to use. It won't be mixed well initially, but I can't imagine it would take more than a couple of miles to be mixed throughly with it sloshing around in the tank.

Did the same in the old days adding marine 2 cycle oil to outboard gas with absolutely no problems although I let it sit a few hours before use.

I cannot tell if the additive improves mileage as have used it from day 1. I tend to doubt it though as the milage on my 2015 with 5000 mi is nothing to brag about.

Hummm. . .at the 5:00 second mark the spokesman recommends "double treat" the fuel on the first tank.

Yeah and it says that on every bottle of shampoo I've ever seen too... Rinse-repeat...

Sorry, but Leno, like anyone else, is in it for the money... You can bet your sweet bippy he didn't do that shoot for nothing...

This takes me back 20-25-30 years when Slick-50 hit the market...

I won't say that it doesn't work, but it's gonna be a long hard TOUGH sell to get me to believe in it...

Slick-50 came pretty close when they got FAA certification for adding the lubricant to the gearboxes of turbine engines...

I too remain quite sceptical. I use fuel additive only because Ford says it is a good idea. Of course they sell it too.....

When I got the additive I was low on fuel, so I filled up and then put the additive in.

I got around 150 miles on the first tank. At first I noticed zero difference - or about the first 50 miles. Now I seem to notice a little difference in the butt dyno and the sound of the motor is quieter... Really, I won't know anything until I stop using it and see if the difference goes away. It was how I realized exactly what biodiesel was doing when I used to run it. I can't run it up here because of the temps and of course there is no availability.

I am really nervous about oil additives, so I doubt I will ever do that.

I am still skeptical that it is doing anything... But the jury is still out.

Welp. Snowed last night and this morning here... Got a few inches on the ground. Cold doesn't bother me. What bothers me is below freezing and then above freezing. Snow in between those turns to ice.

This week is it supposed to alternate snow/rain/snow/rain... Should be fun. Good thing I kept the studded tires on the car.

Here are my results with the 2 tank sample.

First time over 18mpg over my first 16000 miles with this 2015 F350

Both tanks had 1 full regeneration lasting around 23 miles each.

Engine is also quieter and has more pep on take off from stop at low rpm and in slow traffic at low rpm

My problem is the weather. I don't know whether the warmer weather is responsible for the increase mileage, power, and sound...
