Not trying to hijack, but thought I'd seek opinions on the matter as well to keep it from being a "no-no" thread ;-) I'm in the same boat as I have a broken bracket that doesn't allow the spring adjuster to work correctly. I'm close to just buying the pair of aftermarket fogs off eBay for $50. Anyone bought those and had good/bad experience with them.
10 year warranty, lots of sales reported for the seller with pretty good feedback. I would look at the feedback in particular for these lights, which may take some searching/reading patience. Might well be worth a try.

I was contemplating that route too, but since they are aftermarket, I was concerned they might be just different enough from OEM that is would cause my plans to go askew.
