I have a 2006 Ford E 350, 6.0 diesel, extended van, 5 speed auto trans. I am trying to find the heaviest duty shocks for both front and rear. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Tom.
Can't speak to others, but just put Bilsteins on a 1993 E150 wheelchair conversion and it rides like a new van. Shocks that were replaced were the original ones with 203000 miles on vehicle. I am the third owner bought 8/2013. You can't go wrong with Bilsteins.
Bilstein's carry a life-time warranty----not sure how one warranty replaces shocks while keeping it driveable but that's just me.
I've use only Bilstein shocks on three '97 and later E-Series E250's---will never again consider any other brand from now on.
That being said the KYB's and even NAPA "premium" versions are also good shocks, the lower cost not that significant when sites like eShocks.com are used for purchases.
