I found a carb in a salvage yard, Autolite 2100 - venturi 1.23. I would like to rebuild it, but the throttle plates are stuck. Right now they are soaking in some PB Blaster. Am I wasting my time trying to get these freed up? If I do get them free, will I have to clean up the bores they sit in?

This will be my first rebuild on a carb, do I have one that is even rebuildable?

It's worth a shot. If you get them loose, you can use some emery cloth to clean up the bores around the throttle plates. How does it look inside of the bowl area?

I have not taken the top off yet, so I'm not sure what it looks like in the bowl.

 

I tryed to get a stuck throttle shaft out of a 2100 that had been outside for years. I got the throttle plates off ok. I almost had the shaft free after days of soaking, etc. It started to move then snapped in two.
