Well I just got off the phone with my stealer (aka Dealer) my truck is supposed to be at the dealer on April 23rd, it was ordered Feb 17th, and I was told 6-8 weeks. I am getting tired of waiting. My new RV will be here the end of April too. Thanks for the input. I may end up putting something on the truck. The new RV (Grand Design 388M toyhauler) has a 117 gallon fresh water tank, that is 975 pounds of water, so she may squat a bit. Also our wonderful roads in Wi are nice and rough from winter freeze thaw cycles. I will tow with it and see how it goes.
I have a 355TH and it squats my truck just enough for the headlights to annoy oncoming traffic. I had air bags on my 2011 along with a set of Stable loads for hauling a truck camper. If I aired the bags up then it would sway a lot more than I was comfortable with. I have not installed the stable loads on the new truck YET.
The pin weight for my toyhauler (without toys or water) is 3600lbs. First time I hooked up without airbags it squat about 2~3 inches. I didn't mind so much, but did install airbags and like them so much better. Airbags provide me adjustability for when I choose to fill my fresh water tank (160 gal), or if I have toys loaded, or if I haven't dumped my grey (110 gal) or black (96 gal) tanks. The weight moves around a bit, and I like being able to just air up until I'm level, regardless of load.
I tow a 43 foot Landmark weighing in at 17,940lbs and a pin weight of 3,720lbs. I do have load lifter 5000 ultimates on the F350. The truck squats around 3 inches without the bags. Not necessarily a must, but I like to level out the 3 inches of sag and also improve the ride.
I pull a 41 foot raptor, just under 13000 dry....I have t weighed the pin, bit going to guess right around 3000........do I "need" air bags....probably not.....but I will probably install a set of air lift 5000 here soon, just for the added stability.
I have not got my pin weight yet, but my rig is very similar. I do need the bags to get the truck level again so I can get my headlights out of the trees.. I bought the Air-Lilft Ultimate 5000 with Jounce system (not yet installed)...
New truck is supposed to be delivered to the dealer April 23rd new RV about the same time. I will snap a few empty pics when I bring it home. I will see how I feel about it once I start towing. Firestone's with an on board compressor sure are nice. Just can't tell my Dodge and Chey buddy's about the air bags!!!
My 2014 has about 3000lbs of weight in it at all times (contractor) and all my other truck I have had bags but this time I wanted to keep it simple and I just put a 4" block in the rear, factory dually's come with a 2" block. My truck did have a slight sag when I finally got all my tools in but now it has a nice rake to it. I also have stable loads but don't really need them i might take them out.

Ya know the Dodge n Chevy guys already have them in dont ya! Lol
I will add I don't have a large camper to tow, but I regularly haul 4,000 lbs. in the bed which is why I posted in this thread as everyone was commenting on their pin weight.
I tow a 42 ft 5er with a pin weight of 3100 pounds like some others here. Did I need bags, nope. But like another here said, they help keep the headlights aimed at night. Sure the rear end squats a little. Enough to give me the launch shudder on both of my trucks. Easy fix-bags! I have a set of Firestone Ride-Rites on mine(cheapest at the time) with a Viair 10007 on board air compressor with Firestone(dual valve) gauges installed so I can adjust the pressure on the fly and have air to air up the kiddies bike tires and floats
I know have a leveled out truck while loaded and no launch shudder. Very happy with the entire rig. Here is a link to the write up I did on here. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...with-pics.html
My trailer puts about 3000 over the pin.
Trailer weighs about 15000.
Last year I went from a maxed out '09 F350 SRW (11500 GVWR) to a '15 DRW F350 (14000 GVWR).

Bigfoot: awesome rig really wish my driveway was that long!
Golfmedic: Is there a way to get the compressor and stuff under the back seat? With our wonderful salty harsh winter roads I am afraid it wouldn't last long exposed to the elements!
