Now that I have 2015 truck, I'm noticing difference between it and my previous 2011 truck.
1st off what are these small rings on the back window of the cab?
2nd. I'm not overly impressed with the Ford Factory 5th Wheel Prep. The holes don't line up very centered under the bed. And those plastic covers, How do you get them to stick in place?
3rd I'm already missing my B&W hitch that had the chain u-bolts spring loaded so the sucked down tight against the bed. These Numbs protude up so high, Nothing will slide over them. I will have to remove and store them everytime I slide something in my bed.Guess I'llhave to get in the habit of removing them and the ball when not in use. But then you have the ugly holes to deal with.
Also does anybody have any tips on how to remove the middle head rest in the back seat. That has gotta go, I can't see to connect my Gooseneck with that head rest there. In my 2011. It just pulled up and I stored it behind my back seat. I can't get this head rest to budge.
Those little d rings look like something the dealer forgot to remove, probably a spacer used for gluing the window in.
My fifth wheel prep isn't perfectly centered in the holes either, and I have no idea where I put the little covers at. I was trying to use them the first month or so I had the truck but I haven't noticed any drawbacks to not using them the last three years. If I recall correctly, you can install the rings only to hide the gaps.
Looks to me as if they forgot to put the covers back on the pucks after they sprayed your bed. There should be a flexible plastic part between the puck and the bed.. go to the Reese website and watch the video on installation of the Elite hitch in an F250..
I got the little plastic things in my back window too... no clue what they do
I have a plastic ring on my back window also except mine is on the passenger side. I thought is was something over looked during the build process or left over from shipping. I haven't removed mine yet, like to make sure it wasn't something that should be there.

yep, I've got two of them evenly spaced on the bottom of the window just like they have a purpose.. but not a clue what it might be..
I have two of the rings, One on each side, I suspect they were left over from the assembly line and should be pop'd off. They are not strong enough to really hold anything.
I can't install the plastic cover rings over the puck holes because the bed is too tight on the edge, No way to get the plastic to fit in between it and the puck.
The rest of the bed seems to line up just fine.
Truck went to work today, Hauled a couple loads of bolt templates for the red iron on the school I'm building
Got the BAKflip Fibermax tonneau cover and the front leveled.
And sold the factory Wheels and tires. Not a bad day for a rainy day in March
Just bought my truck Friday and notice those little rings on the back window on some of the trucks. So I went to a truck that I wasn't going to buy and they just twist out. I would say their a spacer for window installation.
Those hole covers for the bed are a two part assembly. My holes didn't line up either.
For the black pucks I used a heat gun and got them nice and soft on my 2012. Went right on and never moved again. Shame on the dealer for not prepping better.
Whoever installed the under bed hitch rails didn't spend the 10 minutes it takes to properly align the rails and pucks to the bed.. When I installed mine that's about what it took to do it properly before dropping the hitch into the pucks and tightening all the bolts. Since you have a gooseneck have you tried a 5th wheel hitch in the pucks.. ?

Never had a problem with mine. I do, however, not use the gooseneck.
