1994 Chateau want start after trailer plug replaced
Good evening
I have a 1994 Chateau e150. Took it to have the 4 way Trailer plug replaced. Van wouldn't start again afterwards. It turns over, I have fuel pressure - and spark going to the coil on the negative side, spark at the plug. Any chance cutting the wires at the 4 way plug ( I think they left the ignition on) kicked in the antitheft? Tried locking and unlocking the door to disable cut off, no change. It looked like based on what I read that fuses 6 and 12 control the module, took those out, no change.
I have never had a problem previously with this vehicle starting... could be a coincidence that it happened after working on the wiring but it doesn't seem so in my opinion.
FYI - the alarm went off twice on it (earlier in the day before the trailer plug work) after locking the vehicle. Had to leave it unlocked. Drove and started it several times after that with no ill effect.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Don
