I'm 17 and just got a 00' v10 Ex with 180k on it, it has a 10" lift, 37" tires and a nice Ranch hand. Can someone give me ideas on what I can do to it?
Also can you tell me what problems I might run into.
Welcome, and seeing that you just purchased it and have already got the lift and tires, I would strongly recommend you go over all the suspension parts look for anything that might be worn out and replace everything that needs to be. Having lifted trucks especially heavy duty requires a lot of more work/maintenacne than regular trucks. Thats also quite a big lift, do you know what kind it is or what they used for the lift? Pics are always good to see too?
Welcome. As stated above check the steering suspension for wear. I would do that and then just drive it for a while. It will tell you soon enough what you can do to it. That much lift with tires that big is hard on things especially if you use it off-road. At 17, I would have wanted to get it stuck every weekend. Not so much lately. Typical fluid changes if you don't know their history are not a bad idea. Good luck with it and please do post lots of photos. We like those.
WoW, 10" is a huge lift, way more than is needed to clear 37"s, or is it a total of 10" over stock including the tires? Pictures please!
That big of a lift can get into all sorts of non-typical suspension parts and arrangements, so some good photos of the suspension will help us to give you some things that should be checked out or gone over for safety and longevity concerns.
Also do you know if the EX has been regeared for those big tires? If so what gears do have?
