Starter Question
I own an 86 Areostar. When I bought it didn’t have a starter. I bought a new one and it will not engage in the flywheel. My question is does the starter need any spacer plates or shims to install correctly?

no the starter dont need any shims on it . but u might either have a bad bendex or the wrong gear on there for the fly wheel . take the starter out an see if the gear is being sent out if it is then it must have the wrong gear on. good luck
