C1ae6090

This is the head casting number from the engine I have for sale on ebay. People are calling and asking me what the hell i got here. I can't find a block number except for 1 129Y. Any thougts? This is a 3 deuce engine from a 61 galaxie I am told but I guess everyone wants to know for sure before they spend their money. thanks for the help in advance. bryan

I think that's just the everyday grocery getter 300 hp 390 head. The '61/ early'62 375/410 hp 390 had the same C0** heads as the 360 hp 352.

Are the lifter galleries drilled out for hydraulic lifters? if not then it ain't a HP 390. Look at the rear of the block and there are three bosses cast for the lifter galleries and main gallery, the main will always have a pipe plug there ( the center one) the lifter bosses won't be drilled or have pipe plugs if it's a HP block.

You really would be better off pulling the motor and trans out of that truck and selling them separately. Anyone interested in the motor, probably doesn't want that truck . You will get a lot more for it that way.
