Welcome to the forum. That poor truck has definitely seen better days. I'm guessing your Dad's was in a little better shape. Is it a driver? If you're planning a Jag front end swap already, you must have big plans. Care to share?

Wayne, I'm starting to think we are a bit spoiled out here in the arid West.....trucks out here seem to be in a lot better condition, rust wise at least.
4950F1.......welcome to FTE and keep us posted on your progress!
Welcome to FTE! My dad also had an F1 back in the day.I didn't learn to drive in it but I have some fond memories. Now I have one of my own, although not an F1, but I think about him everytime I work on it. You know we like pic's so keep us up to date.
welcome to fte my dad had 51 f1 & he tought me how to drive in it,i took my drivers test in it back in1957 at that time i was not sure if you were aloud to use turn signals or not so before the instructor got in the truck i rolled my window down so that i could use my hand signals,it was really cold then & he froze his *** off but i passed the test

No doubt you are correct, Scott. I'm here with this beautiful rust free cab sitting in the middle of my shop taking up space that needs a new home, and these guys are rebuilding trucks that we wouldn't drag home for parts. I'm impressed with the talent, but feel bad for them at the same time, having to do all that work.
