my 351m is out. I have a 400 crank and pistons ready for it. I thought I was dealing with a virgin block, but im not. its bored 030. my new pistons are 040. the cylinders are in really great shape on a finger rub inspection. are there any potential downsides to bore this block a second time?
You have 0.040 over pistons, no matter whether it had been bored before, you were gonna have to bore 0.040 over anyway. The fact that it's spent a few years at 0.030 over is of no consequence.
