429 scj intake

Hi,I have a question that could span a lot of sub forums and I have exhausted looking for an answer. Now that weather is getting warmer I am really starting to straighten out my truck.
The 460 in my F350 has a mid 70s iron intake for a 4350 carb on it now,but it has a modified egr plate with a holley dp on top the engine runs ok,but of course it can always run better.
Truck is a crewcab,4.10s,4spd and will be used for towing dragcar in a 38ft gooseneck.I would like to hear opinions on using a 429scj intake for towing I like cast iron better than aluminum.
Chris

Hi, No I haven't.My truck is a 79 so I just thought that I would start here first.I have a 71 Mach1 with a 429scj and it goes like a bat out of hell, but a 3500lb car doesn't drive like a 55 ft long 16,000lb truck.I will post in other topics as well.
Chris.
