Leaking Steering Gear box
Has anyone ever had any work done by Red-Head Steering Gears out of Auburn, Wa.?
I'm might be needing a gear box rebuilt or maybe buy one already rebuilt.
Any sugestions will be helpful.

Many of us have done the redhead box. There have been group buys even. A very few noted troubles. Majority of us love it. Myself I have no steering slop. Some say not worth the money and buy other rebuilds. Searches should give you a bunch if info.

I would go to your local parts house such as Advance or AutoZone or....and get one. They have lifetime warranty were redhead is like 3 or 6 months...maybe a year warranty. If you go to their site, they do not do much extra for the high price they charge.

I have an 07 F250 that I use for plowing and all other work related things. I put a Redhead box on last fall and the truck drives like a new one. I highly recommend Redhead....I can't vouch for any of the others. The price was fair for those that I did price before buying Redhead, they do beef them up some with bearings vs. bushings and their tolerance are suppose to be closer than Ford specs.
