I'm looking at a Broncos that's had a 2000 explorer 302 swapped in. Has an edelbrock carb and everything else is pretty stock from what I can Tell. I don't know v8's all that well so someone tell me what to look for in the 302 and the bronco. I know these trucks but not Broncos.
If you know F150s then you know Broncos. The biggest difference is the tailgate. Check for rust behind the bottom lip. They're prone to rotting out in that area.
The 302 is a good, reliable engine. Check for the usual oil leaks and such that you would look for on any engine of any make. (valve covers, oil pan, rear main, etc...)
I don't know the 150's. I've had a few 250's and 350. I know they are basically the same, with less heavy duty parts( brakes suspension frame, sometimes. )
I don't know 302's lol. Only ever had diesel and the next best thing. A straight six.
I've heard the 2000's exploder motors had gt40 heads and were rollers?
