Nope, and it doesn't stall every time I start it and then turn on the headlights either It's such a small nuisance that I am not going to worry about it too much. Funny though that it only started after the work on the truck. I might go back and ask him about that one of these days. He's expecting his first grand kid in two weeks so I'll wait til then to pester him.

Oh and to pre-emptively? answer some questions:

Battery is a year old.
Alternator is 7 months old and the voltage regulator is 6 months old (tried the old regulator on a new alt ... then determined the regulator was bad ).
Belt is a year old and shows no signs of wear or slipping.
All grounds look good with no corrosion and the continuity test on the ones I tried was good.

JBG sells and upgraded headlight harness, you might consider looking into this. perhaps there is something going on in this area??

also check your base timing, should be 10* btdc with spout connector removed. you could bump it up to 12* and this may help the startup in the morning.

Don't think it's the harness, I'm thinking it's one the relays for the HID's. Have no idea how to check timing

Ok here's the mpg from the fill up after the work was done. Not impressed

Miles before fill up = 251,174
Miles at fill up = 251,501
Gallons purchased at second fill up = 28.826 @ $100.00 even

Miles driven = 327 (60/40 city/highway)
MPG = 11.31

One other thing to do, is to have the radiator cleaned out at the radiator shop.
My 1990 had a lot of "stop leak" decreasing the flow and heat transfer. I had it cleand and boiled out when I replaced the water pump.
